Today we ran 30 seconds hard in one direction, took a 30 second break, and ran 30 seconds back and took another 30 second break. Do that four times (8x30 second runs), with a 5 minute break, followed by 8 more 30 second runs. (16x30 second runs total.)
I wanted to give this my utmost effort today, and I'm certainly more tired than after any other KW run. This felt very similar to race conditions. I noticed I trailed off a bit during the second set, but I managed to make my last 30 second run on par with all of the first set. The bottom line is that I'm beat.
